Mission: To treat all families with dignity and respect while enhancing, supporting, and promoting healthy families within the Druid Heights, and Upton Communities. We are committed to providing quality services thereby ensuring that children are happy, healthy and successful
Vision: The DRU partnership envisions that Druid Heights and Upton Communities as a neighborhood where all children are healthy and ready to learn. A community where resources will be used to ensure the highest level of mental and physical health, education, employment and economic self-sufficiency, as well as appropriate housing for residents. We further envision a community where residents are valued and treated with respect by community service providers.
Who is Eligible for the Program: Residents who live in the Druid Heights and Upton Communities and are expectant parents or parents with newborns babies 0-3months.
How Long Will Services be Provided? Services will be provided for a period of five years depending upon the families’ accessibility and need.
Types of Services Offered: Comprehensive in-home visitation services; Child development assessments; Referrals to resources; i.e. medical, GED, housing, etc.; housing, etc.’ Parent support education and advocacy; Positive parenting skills
Families Participate in this Program to:
• Promote parent child relationships
• Ensure healthy family growth and development
• Enhance family self-sufficiency
• Increase child health and well-being
• Receive support in preparing child for school readiness and in reaching family goals
• Find alternative way to cope with challenging situations
• Develop positive worked relationships with a service provider
