The Helping Hand Circle was organized in 1927. The members of the circle take great pride in their untiring efforts to contribute to fulfilling the missions of the church and maintaining the founders' goal of stewardship, leadership, community service, financial support to the church and happy Christian fellowship with one another, family and friends.

The first President of the circle, Mrs. Estelle Saddler, provided excellent leadership for the group which grew from ten members in 1927 to over fifty-one members in 1998 and now thirty-five. Our President Emeritus Anne McGlothern server for 26 years (retired 1997). Members of the circle are chairs and active participants on the Deacon Board, Trustee Board, Deaconess Board, Child First Committee, Finance Board, Usher Boards, Senior and Sanctuary Choirs, BUILD, Men's League, Baxter Matthews Senior Citizen Center, Day Care Board, The Comfort Ministry, St. Luke's Ministry, The Archives and Artifacts Ministry and Sunday School. They are proud of the Circle. The name "Helping Hand" is the symbol that identifies our mission in the church and community: "Helping Others."
