The Marie Francis Circle is one of the oldest circles of the Church. Founded in 1931 as the Union Aid Circle under the pastorate of the Rev. Timothy Boddie, it is named after its first president, Marie Francis.

The goals of the Circle are as follows:

  1. To support the Church and its ministries

  3. To provide a forum for Christian fellowship with each other, and
  4. To accommodate the needs of its members whenever needed

Circle members participate in all of the ministries of the Church, including membership and leadership positions in the following: the Music Ministry, the Usher Board, the Howard Thurman Book Club, Women’s Day activities, the Deacon Board, the St. Luke’s Ministry, the Comfort Committee, the Board of Trustees, and special programs.
