The Men's league of Union Baptist Church is the official organization within the church, chiefly dedicated to providing the men of Union with an ongoing and affirmative Christian presence and expression in support of the church and all its ministries and activities. Although the men of Union have always been a well-organized and cohesive force within and outside the church, in approximately 1974, Pastor Emeritus Vernon N. Dobson, requested then church member, Brother Cecil Bray to reorganize the men of the church into what is now known as the Men's League, and to serve as its President. Thus, in 1974 the term Men's League came into existence and Cecil Bray served as its president until approximately 1984. In 1984, Deacon George McKinney was appointed by Pastor Dobson to succeed Brother Bray as president. Deacon McKinney served faithfully in that capacity for twenty years. In 2004, Deacon Arnold M. Jolivet was selected by vote of the men of Union to head the Men's League.

In 1998, the Men's League's first Constitution and By-Laws were developed and adopted by vote of the men of the church. Pursuant to its new Constitution and By-Laws, the purpose of the Men's League shall be to:

Membership in the Men's League is open to all male members of the church who are ten (10)years of age or older. "Membership" is defined to include visitors, members on the rolls of the church and other male persons who express a sincere desire to work as a constructive member of the Men's League. The members of the Men's League generally meet on the premises of the church during the months of September, October, November, January, March, May and June. The Men's League has enjoyed a most remarkable and successful legacy in assisting the Men of Union, "to grow in God's grace," and moreover, "to serve the present age."
